Bustard Head Lighthouse
10 October 2014 | From anchorage at Pan Cake Creek
Glorious after a windy night
BIG DAY TODAY, we walked the 2.6klm to Bustard Head Lighthouse from Pan Cake Creek anchorage. Fortunately from another Yachtie we found out that the cost was $10 each. AND was it worthwhile! YES, definately fascinating. It was the 1st lighthouse in QLD, opening in 1868. Wal and Pat who are the Volunteers this month were incredibly well informed AND Pat made us a much needed cuppa tea on arrival. The pictures tell the story. Planes bri ng people in to camp on Aeroplane Beach AND an Amphibious Vehicle bring tourists from town of 1770
