Finally I have found the inspiration to continue my blog , reason being was waiting for photographs but it does not look like we will be posting anytime soon as the webmaster does not seem to worry about our software problem. It is quite something being at sea so long only the two of us, occasionally some dolphins to look at if you can bring yourself to stay out on the aft deck long enough it was so cold. We did tons of reading, crossword puzzles & of course eating After being at sea for 20 days in atrocious weather & nearly ending up in Canada trying to break through to the East we finally made it to Horta only to find out because of the wind we could not launch our dinghy to go ashore for 2 days, however we have been able to secure a berth & are happily tied alongside in the Marina. Of course we celebrated with our first drink since leaving Bermuda with a Vodka Lime & Soda it tasted divine. We have a few repairs to take care of such as reefing lines which chaffed & David has managed to take care of the problem while waiting for the experts to arrive. We like Horta & think it is a very pretty island with very nice local people. We have been to the supermarket as our provisions are a bit low found it disappointing meat wise & no eggs which we are still trying to find. There were quite a lot of boats when we arrived but they are leaving fast & furious due to the weather improvement which we hope will last till the weekend when we hope to depart for Portimao on the Portuguese coast & hopefully will be there in about 10 days.
