Just entered the Eastern hemisphere a minute ago from W 179d 59.999 to E 180d 00.000m!!!

Our position now is:

E179d50.788 S 24d23.268

You'll notice that I'm also out of the tropics (I'll use I now!)

I feel better this am. Last night spaghetti with tomato sauce but no olive oil or anything else. That went fine. Winds have dropped to 17 -19 kts so the motion was gentler last night. I slept well between my checks. I went by Minerva reef late afternoon yesterday. Minerva is a reef that is circular like an atoll but has no land, just reef so no vegetation to spot. So sure enough I didn't see it. I had thought about stopping there if needed to wait for a weather window because you can anchor inside and the reef breaks the seas so it's protected. But the weather looks ok next week, except the last couple days because of a high in the Tasman see that might give me some headwinds. Depending on their strength I'll either punch through them or fall off to the west and then come back East to Opua when they back after the high passes.
