An Ok day with the new pale blue spinnaker

We had an ok day today. Nothing went wrong, we put up the new pale blue spinnaker which required a little prep work on the bowsprit. I actually now like the color of the sail which is some pale electric blue or something. It made us get good speed most of the day but we had to drop it at 5:30pm because night was coming up and the wind was increasing to 17kts. The new spinnaker top down furler works really well but the set up has to be good to avoid problems (that's what I was working on the a.m. on deck). So taking the spi down was a breeze (so to speak). Of course the wind dropped shortly after that and and the whole evening was fairly slow. It is past midnight now and our heading/speed is not very good but I don't feel like starting a long sail maneuver now. I am going to email Met Bob for an weather update but next week doesn't look too good: some SE wind in the prediction not stormy but strong enough to be a pain if coming from that direction
Eggs in the morning and leftover indonesian for dinner plus some fruits here and there. We had no real problem keeping to our gallon of water (in fact it's been 30hrs now and there is some left over. [Their watermaker is no longer working but they have 100 gallons on board.] Janneke had a 100% salt water shower and actually liked it. And I like salt water showers as well so no fresh water consumption there. I tried using salt water to brush my teeth and it's not great, so I'll delay that measure!...
OK maybe I'll try and make this tub go a little faster. MAybe a jibe but no sail change.
