The historic Hunting Island lighthouse was originally constructed in 1859 and rebuilt in 1875 after being destroyed during the Civil War.
Combining both old and new in her unique persona, Savannah is a magical, romantic place.  Here a tug slowly slips up the Savannah River to her berth further upstream.

This bench came with a view like none other we have seen so far.
Savannah offers quiet walks through beautiful squares draped with Spanish Moss.  The historic downtown area is dotted with twenty-four such squares.
