Travels of Wandering Albatross
Crescent beach, silky sands
Venezuela
04/12/2008, Tortuga Island

One of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been to with silky, white sand and a sweeping curve that led to some boogie boarding. And the best thing about it is that it's far enough away from the mainland that it's really only viable for a long weekend visit for most of the go-fast boats. (We sailed all night to arrive there by morning, but since we stayed for almost a month, we had plenty of time to recuperate!)

Mary Liz 40th B-Day Party
Venezuela
04/05/2008, Bahia Redonda, Puerto La Cruz

OK, it was a few days early, but that's only because we were sailing to Tortuga on my ACTUAL 40th Birthday. It wasn't the best sail of our career, but hey, there are worse ways to spend it!
