Where's Waldo?

18 December 2014 | Vero Beach, Fl
Tim
Waldo? Odds are, if he ever made it to Vero Beach, he's still here. As are we. We've been here three happy hours now (Happy hours are every Thursday evening at the North Pavilion) I'm no longer sure how many actual days that translates to, but I know it's time to move on. Or not. I guess we could stay for just one more happy hour and then go. That's the hard part of this lifestyle. Making the really tough decisions.

For some odd reason, when you make it to Vero, you just can't leave. Today, I petitioned the City Counsel to rename Vero to Hotel California. It's a wait and see on that one...

The other cruisers that have become stuck here are taking it rather well. Last week, a bunch of them put on a X-mas boat parade which was pretty cool. The above picture is one of the boats (only picture that wasn't blurry), and then last night, a bunch dressed their canoes up with lights and paddled around boat to boat singing Christmas carols.

Yea, it's tough to leave here, and I didn't even mention the nice hot showers, or the free bus service, or the awesome dog park (one block away).

Now that I've cleared that all up. We'll be kicking out into the ocean from the Ft. Pierce inlet (20 miles south of us) in the early morning and pulling into the Palm Beach inlet for the evening (unless, of course, we stay here). There's a nasty front coming our way next week and we need to be in Miami before it hits.
