Ok not really the truth, but much warmer then up north in Williams Lake BC.
We have and had some really nice days with no or only a little rain, and balmy 8-
10 degrees C . We are preparing Icebound for another summer saison with hopefully lots of sailing and exploring the Desolation Sound and the Sunshine Coast in BC.
After all the cold weather up north, the heavy rain here in Quadra island don't keep us away from scrubbing the deck, checking out all the rigging, bring out the sails and put them up, make oil change and try to fix the diesel heater. When you know the measurement of the Saturna 33 you now that you need to be a circus artist to get down under the cockpit and check out the diesel heather.
The Ebersbaecher D3L diesel heather electronic has a bug we tried many way s to find the fault but nothing worked. Hope tomorrow or the day after a friend will show up and together hopefully we will find out the problem and we can go for a 2 or3 day trip around Cortes Island. We will leave next Sunday.
Hope we will have a couple of good days.
