On a mooring

01 March 2017
We got a mooring this morning, we are now on #42 in the east field. It is about a 10 minute dingy ride with our 2 1/2 hp. We paid for a week and plan to stay at least one more. There is lots to see with boats going by on both sides of the mooring field and marinas across the way. There is a pirate ship that comes out each day and we watched a huge cat boat that goes from here to Key West and back. You can do a day trip or go, stay a few days and come back. For two seniors a round trip is $290.
We took a trolley to Walmart yesterday, it is .75 cents for me and .35 for David. We plan to take a trolley tomorrow that goes along Fort Myers Beach. Today is spent doing laundry, using the computer and getting fuel. It is the most expensive place to do laundry, $2 a load for both washer and dryer.
The people here are very nice and helpful and even though it is distance by dingy it is a great place. It is a short walk to the beach with lots of stores and restaurants. Lots to keep us occupied while here. We will probably come back again next year. It is about a 10 day trip to get to Green Cove.
