Stay Tuned!!!!! Launching tomorrow March 17, 2011
Now it is the 23 of March and everything is a go! Had a few hiccups the day of the launch; starboard water pump took a little time to fill up the engine and manifolds. Due to this Coghlin and I had to bring her out of the camber on one engine and shoot for the closest finger available. To make things a little worse, the wind was blowing which made it a little nerve racking for me. But all is well and the heat is working hahaha.
I have been picking away a little jobs until the weather gets a little better. So far I have finished polishing the port side of the boat (the hull was done before launch and now I am finishing the upper portion), polished and waxed all ge coat surfaces in the cockpit, steam cleaned the cabin carpet, cleaned up both engines and bilge, and swabbed the deck ;). Still so much to do but slow and steady wins the race. It is comforting to know that I will have her 100% ready before many of my fellow boaters actually launch; basically getting this stuff done early and avoid the mass chaos which usually accompanies the busy launching part of May and April.
I have already slept aboard once and plan on making this a habit:). Launching this early should give me a 8 month boating season - which is incredible on the East Coast of Canada!!!
