Man, we slept well last night!! We enjoyed a cool northerly breeze gently blowing down our hatch. I actually needed to snuggle under the comforter!!
Robert immediately gets to work-- thank God it's Friday!! I enjoy my coffee in the cockpit.
Since we're not heading out until late morning , I whip up a nice breakfast. Chicken sausage, eggs, spinach with cheese and salsa. Yum!!
Around 11, we leave our anchorage, and begin the bridge battle!!
Maggie has peed several times on the trampoline, but nothing else yet. She enjoyed a big dinner last night once we anchored; AND a bowl full of breakfast. She sleeps the morning away.
There is quite a bit of boat traffic today, but mostly small pleasure boats and the obvious snowbirds.
We make it through the last drawbridge (till Ft Pierce) by 2:00 pm.
We enjoy a light lunch of cheese, pita chips, and fruit.
I spend the afternoon with a good book. Robert takes business calls, Maggie sleeps.
Dinner underway is pulled chicken, black beans, and Mac-n-Cheese.
We review the offshore forecast for the weekend. Looks doable.
We plan to spend the night at Harbortown Marina. We'll top off the fuel tank first thing tomorrow morning; take Maggie for a much needed walk; fill the cooler with ice; and off we go again!!
We arrive at Harbortown around 7:30 pm. Our friends Susan and Elden are our welcoming committee!! It's always great to see friends awaiting your arrival.
After getting SeaQuell all snug in her slip, Robert goes up the mast to replace one of our lines. Elden works the wench to hoist him up.Afterwards, we share a few cocktails, and share stories.
It's so wonderful to catch up!
I enjoy a hot shower at the marina bath house.
We say our good nights , and I head for bed. Robert stays up to catch the news. Goodnight!!
