Another Place to Explore

We have enjoyed another fun filled week.

Our friends Don and Judy are back to spend some time on their boat, Nemo. Don's son Seth came along on this trip. Judy and I walked all around town, finding some new areas to explore.

We shared meals together, and just had fun hanging out at the dock.

On Saturday, friends of ours from Richmond,( Pete and Mary Russo and their daughter, Abigail came for a weekend sail to Onancock. We had planned a trip to Tangier Island, but on recommendation from some of the boaters at our dock, we set sail for Onancock. Don, Judy and Seth are sailing Nemo along with us.

We had a great sail out in the Chesapeake Bay-- made about 7 knots most of the time. Late afternoon the rains came and we all got drenched. We still had great fun, and arrived at our destination around 6 pm. We walked around the town for a bit and then went out to dinner. The restaurant was fantastic!!!! We all ate and drank plenty and returned to our boats for a good night's sleep. Well, some of us slept. It seems Robert and Pete had a different agenda in mind. They stayed up
until the sun rose (around 5 am), drinking scotch all night and sharing stories.

Sunday brought clearer skies and cooler temperatures, but very little wind. We motor sailed back to Urbanna, returning around 6pm. We were sad to see Pete, Mary and Abby leave, but they had to drive back to Richmond ( tomorrow is Monday and there's that thing called work). We had great fun and made some more memories with dear friends.

After dinner with Don, Judy and Seth, Becky turned in early--- Captain Robert wasn't too far behind. What a lovely, fun weekend!!!!

Today, it's yoga and a long walk for Becky and Judy. The guys are off to Richmond. Don is carrying Seth to the train station and Robert to the airport. Seth is heading to Philly to his family and Robert is off to Cinncinati for business.

Planning to catch up on my reading today. Wow, life is good.
