THURSDAY March 26

WOW!!!!!

3:00 am came really soon.

We'll all up and ready to go----- WooHoo!!!!

Anchor up, and underway !! Timed the 17th street bridge with no wait, and out the Port Everglades Inlet we go!!

The seas are relatively calm, Let the fun begin!!!!!

The morning is beautiful. A crescent moon and a starry sky are our "guides".

We raise both the jib and the main at daybreak. We motorsail at about 7-8 knots all morning. The seas are a little lumpy, but overall we have a sweet ride.

Both the girls catch a good nap, Captain Robert snoozes a little in the cockpit while Bill takes the helm.

Lunch is cheese sticks, pretzels, granola.

The water in the Gulfstream is the most beautiful shade of cobalt blue. We all enjoy the sunshine, clear waters, and for entertainment, flying fish and dolphins.

The day goes by quickly. By mid afternoon the seas have increased a bit more --- around 3 ft. I thought I had secured every possible item, but when I go below for ice water, the salon smells highly of vinegar!! Oh, boy-- I open one of the cabinet doors and note all the vinegar bottles have overturned, and the lid has popped off of a couple of bottles. A project for later--- it's a little too rough for clean up now.

We arrived at Indian Cay cut around 3:00 pm. We're officially across the stream!!!!!

We anchor for the night at Mangrove Cay, around 6:30 pm.

Dinner is pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans, and chips. Cocktails for Robert and I; super hot coffee for Bill and Laura. Bill never napped, so he needs a little caffeine hit!!

We enjoy a quiet after dinner coffee and dessert in the cockpit. Plans for tomorrow discussed. Hoping to make it to Green Turtle Cay tomorrow. Gonna be a long day.

Early to bed for everyone tonight. We're thankful for a safe passage, good friends, and another day of adventure!!
