Wednesday April 8
We enjoyed our coffee sitting in the rockers on the porch at the marina. Alan takes a hot shower.
Mid morning we head over to the Hopetown Lighthouse. Robert climbs to the top for photos and views of the area, but Alan, Maggie and I hang out below. I climbed to the top last year, and Alan just ain't feel in' it.
After the lighthouse tour, we head over to the "town" for a walk. We try to get a golf cart, but none are available. Good thing we're wearin' our walkin' shoes. We make our way down to On Da Beach bar and restaurant. Lunch is fresh grilled wahoo, and rice and peas. Cold Kaliks all around!!!!
After lunch, we walk on the beautiful white sand beach a bit, and head back into town. Seems we ran out of rum, so a stop by the spirits store is in order.
After walking around town for a bit, we catch the ferry back to SeaQuell. Alan and I enjoy a quick nap. Now we're ready for the evening.
Off to the pool/hot tub for a dip. After a swim, we head over to the bar for cocktails. I throw in a load of laundry on the way.
We meet some folks from Greenville, NC at the bar, and chat for a bit. Last night, we met folks from Rocky Mount, NC. It's a Carolina Convention!!!!!!!!
Dinner is just a simple salad. We're still pretty full from lunch. We play Mexican Train Dominoes. Alan kicks our butts!!!!! Must be beginner's luck!!
Bedtime around 11:00. We're heading out tomorrow. Great Guana Cay is the destination. Right after coffee and showers!!!!!
