We get up around 8:00 am. Robert takes Maggie to shore for one more potty break-- may be her last one for a couple of days.
We raise the main while at anchor, then haul anchor and leave the anchorage at Allan's Pensicola by 9:00. We raise the jib as soon as we leave the anchorage.
Winds are VERY light this morning. Only 7-8 knots. After making only 3-4 knots for about 30 minutes, we lower the jib and fly the spinnaker.
We still are just making about 3 knots, but we decide to enjoy the quiet, peaceful ride for a couple of hours.
Mid-afternoon, the wind completely dies, so we start the engines and head for Great Sale Cay, our anchorage for tonight.
We arrive at Great Sale around 4:30 pm, set the hook, and jump in the water for a dip. The water feels heavenly; very refreshing. We swim for a bit, then enjoy a cocktail.
Dinner is chicken wings and roasted potatoes and onions.
We relax in the cockpit, chatting with other boats in the anchorage; comparing notes about the latest weather, who's heading where, etc.
The general consensus is the weather looks great for the next couple of days. Several boats are making the crossing tomorrow . Robert and I decide to head to West End tomorrow, and possibly make an overnight crossing tomorrow night.
We're gonna turn in early tonight. Tomorrow may be a long day!!
