We spent most of Monday morning searching for the tear repair kit to fix our poor old dinghy.
We know it's "here somewhere" . After looking through every tool box, storage bin, and assorted other nooks and crannies, we gave up. We did manage to locate the hypalon patches , but we still need some adhesive.
Next step, find the leak. This involves swinging the dinghy around so that the "bad side" ( where we assume the damage occurred with the friction from swinging about) occurred. We quickly find the leaks, YES that was an intended plural. It seems there are three. UGH!!!! We note the areas that need repair, and hoist the old gal back up. Repairs will have to wait until we get to an area that has a hardware store.
We decide to have brunch at the BallyHoo while waiting for the customs officer. We shared a delicious omelette. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary, and Robert had a Vodka and cranberry.
The customs officer arrives around 11 am, and our check in goes smoothly. Now we're free to leave the marina property.
We enjoyed a nice walk on the beautiful white sand beach, and rested for a while with a cold beverage. We decide we're hungry again, and head back to the bar for appetizers. We shared some wonderful grouper fingers, and took advantage of the Happy Hour drink specials. We chat with folks at the bar-- lively crowd tonight.
In our chat, we mention our dinghy , and our need to find adhesive. Bob, a very nice gentleman says he has some AquaSeal that he believes will work. Hooray!!
I head back to SeaQuell around 8 pm to do some reading, and Robert stays at the bar.
It's been a full day!!!! Tomorrow we plan to get the dinghy repair done before heading over to Treasure Cay.
