More Hopetown Fun

Becky
We have lots to do in Hopetown today.
We start with a walk to the beautiful lighthouse. It is one of few remaining lighthouses still powered by kerosene. We slowly climb to the top, and the climb was certainly worth it!! What an awesome panoramic view!!!!!
After our lighthouse expedition, we visit the gift shop for a couple of souvenirs. We drop in the liquor store for a cold beer for our return walk to the marina.
We enjoy a quick lunch of sandwiches and chips aboard SeaQuell, and head over to "town" via the water taxi. Connie and I shop at several small boutiques. We also make a stop at the grocery store and the bakery. The guys pass the time at Capt. Jack's bar.
We're back aboard SeaQuell by mid afternoon. Next, we head out to do some exploring in the dinghy. We find numerous large starfish!! They are beautiful, and as big as my head!! Connie is in awe!!
I give Connie a quick snorkeling lesson. She catches on quickly!!
By 5 pm, we're back at the marina. Next stop is the swim up bar----- it's cool!! Cool in more than one way!!!
Next, hot showers for all of us, and back to SeaQuell for dinner onboard tonight. Robert cooks tuna steaks on the grill, and I make a mango salsa to top it. We have roasted potatoes as our side. A nice white wine to go with it!!
It's nice for just the four of us to share a meal, and chat about lots of stuff. Much laughter ensues as we share some fond memories.
After dinner, Robert and I teach Connie and Rick how to play Mexican Train Dominoes. Before we know it, it's 11 pm--- way past our usual bedtime.
We've all had a wonderful, fun-filled day!!
We go to bed with very happy hearts!! Life is wonderful, and it's even more wonderful when shared with love ones. Goodnight!!!!
