Left Trinidad at 0600 last Friday, 11/23, headed for Grenada. 10 hours later after a gorgeous day sail in 15-18 knots of easterly breeze, we arrived in St David's on the East side of Grenada.
No customs here, just a tired marina, so early to bed and off to sail up the East side on Saturday. Brisker wind today, 18-22knots, but not too heavy seas. Anchored in Chatham Bay on the backside of Union Island just as the rain squalls hit...free shower.
Wind up today, but only 24 miles to go. 20-25 knots, so double reef is in, no jib. Once around the corner, the fun (?!) begins. Between the seas and the current, I would have been more comfortable on a roller coaster, but I guess one can put up with 4 hours of anything, sort of.
Arrived in Bequia and Princess Margaret Beach at 0230 and jumped into the water, phew, what a day. Much deserved rum punch before dinner and early to bed only to be awake most of the night with the howling wind. Thank heavens we moved when we did as it is going to BLOW for the next 3 days. So here we are tucked into the North side (moved over) of the harbor with good Internet and a quiet neighborhood...bliss!
