St Lucia
02 December 2012 | Soufriere, The Pitons

Sailed up from Bequia yesterday, 7 hour trip averaging 7 knots. Quiet behing St Vincent and the wind came around on the nose with lumpy seas and 20 knots of wind for most of the 24 mile crossing to St Lucia, but everything quieted down on the other end and we had a quiet night over by the Bat Caves on the northern end of Soufriere. Not too many 'boat boys', this is a huge improvement. The weather is gorgeous and reputed to be light for the whole week which is a treat as the Fitch Family arrives tomorrow, my birthday present (?) and we will be able to hit a all the snorkeling spots for the first time in 3 years of going up and down this coast. Time to test my underwater camera!
