02/08/2010, Carlisle Bay, Antigua
We left the marine a bit late ..guess what - curtains where not ready ..... but we still managed to arrived at the bay 'just' before sun down.. and sailed for about 2 hours in 12-16knots , Dropped the anchor, but as it turned out, I ended up not picking the best spot inside the bay.. It was not a very comfortable night ...:-) We'll need to do better next time....

Believe it not, but I finally go the crew working.....
Our french courtesy flag was way, way to big (twice the size of our country flag)
so "I" have the crew sewing it down to the appropriate size
All in preparation for the "big" day, now postponed to Monday (because of some scheduling "issues")

Oht Oh!.....Captain Georg....Where are we?
All systems go! Working, even out board, windlass, dingy up on new Georg built arch :-) (a good arch!) .......all systems ready to go.......?
So who picked up the new beautiful custom sewn matching curtains at the seamstress before she left and closed for the whole weekend!!??!!??
Whoops!!
Already payed for and close to perfect, uhmmmmm......not I said the captain (after checking every morning at 9 when they open but were not there yet), not I said the crew(who were super busy supporting their captain and on e-mail, FB, and checking that the beach was still there).........
hmmm....Monday might be a really good day to take off, set sails, leave Antigua, follow the winds south

You know Georg, work, projects, work
02/05/2010, planning to depart Mosquito Bay!
So I believe my feet/leg problem was an extreme allergic reaction to all the mosquito, no-see-ums, and sand flea bites. I was very swollen, full of bites, red hurting itchy rash on feet. Uncomfortable -not great with feet down or walking, hurting, burning, itching. Crazy, never had anything like this but never had so many bites as here at Jolly Harbour (mosquito bay). I put up mosquito nets and we go on a 'killing' every night now. I am getting and feeling better and we are leaving mosquito bay :-)

back to fixing things on the boat
- Outboard would not work.... gave up after 4 H have service done ..
- Added the two "gold" braces to the arch they made for me last week (US $650...)
- Fixed the Windlass - a pin was completely rusted away - the previews owner must have had trouble for a long long time- anyway it's working now :-)
at around 5PM Jill and Betts came back from there 'Trip" to St John..
I was working on the stern, when I heard a big splash- when I turned around I saw Betts diving into the water behind the boat.. somehow she had missed the boat.....Luckily she didn't hit her head on the boat on the way down ...
..... Lucky Day I guess

"Test" sailing ... Today we took her out and sailed to a snorkel spot about 10Nm south of Jolly Harbour sailing was great in the morning at around 20-21 knots but on the way back we had to fall back to some motor sailing :-) - another problem discovered: the windlass would not work properly :-( ..but I think I discovered the source of the problem .. hopefully it will be an easy fix....
