03/16/2010, Carriacou
It's Tuesday March 16th and we are in Carriacou on our 'race' down to Grenada to pick up Pam and crew. We spent the last few nights and days at The Tobago Cays.......snorkeling :-). I saw rays, a Spotted Eagle Ray, more Flying Gunaurds, Peacock Flounders, Turtles, A Devil Scorpion Fish!!! and so on :-)
Not much time at the moment so just a quick catch up. We'll be spending the night here and tomorrow night Grenada at our pick up area (South).
We just decided to go down the Atlantic side! Bigger winds, swells,...faster time....yikes! The whole day to sail from Carriacou to Grenada and then down all of Grenada to the south point.
Check in later~

Very cool.
03/13/2010, Canouan, between Corbay and Rameau bay
So we are at Charlestown Bay in Canouan. We just anchored after spending the day snorkeling at Corbay/Rameau Bay or the outcropping between. It was the best so far!!! Two Octopus were too busy procreating to notice me~awesome.... of course ....battery dead in camera. Then I took Georg back to see and we also saw a big spotted eagle ray so close and calm. I was in heaven. But no photos:-(
It is also a more pleasant hot not the intense melting humid HOT HOT HOT. ~(Georg is even trying to be nicer to me...I hope he means it, cares, continues:-)
Tomorrow we sail to Tobago Keys for a few days
17th/ 18th/19th Grenada to pick up Pam,Scott,Sage, and Tara then back up this a way :-)

03/10/2010, Back at Rodney Bay St. Lucia
I have my teeth fixed! And He did a great job! He says it will still be sensitive for awhile but should settle down....yaaaaa :-) ~back to smiling~
Also the bimini is done! Wow! So we will put it up today and tomorrow we will pick up the front part that he is adding a zipper to so we can roll it up and have air.
We plan to leave here very early on Fri. morning, maybe 4:30 ish....we'll see.
So ready to be down by The Spice Islands as everyone says it is nicer down there.
While I went by myself to the dentist (this means I am now doing the dinghy by myself! :-) Georg fixed the front 'head' , I hope it starts smelling better/fresher now.

What's a bimini? Which are the spice islands?
I was self conscious and didn't take a photo but now I wish I did! Darn,Too late~
Bimini covers the 'cock pit' so when you sail you have some sun protection. We were told the boat had one but it did not. So we finally added one. I think it will be a nice option for some visitors. I haven't minded a all not having one except it is so humid here that when you sleep outside with out a bimini you do wake up very early and wet.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Windward Islands of the Eastern Caribbean, are often referred to as "The Spice Islands".
Oh yes, we miss you.
ur lucky to barely make me out in this distant photo of the boat....yes, me on deck.
Thxs! Glad someone misses me :-p
03/08/2010, Soufiere St. Lucia
We are both so ready to move on! Georg because these mooring here are sooooo rolling that anyone would feel sea sick and want off! I agree but We are at what folks say is the most beautiful place in St. Lucia and I still don't see a lot of sea life. Just not a lot here. But much worse this is supposed to be a great marine park and we see (I guess illegal) fishing and so much trash! Ackkkk! I think local folks drive above this hill and dump trash so you find barrels, tires, plastic bottles n such. Plus locals appear very poor and you find trashy beaches with bottles, cans, plastic that get also washed out to sea :-(. We sometimes sit on the boat and smell suage (may have the locale suage pipe outlet somewhere very close) and watch the plastic, styra-foam, n such go by.
We are ready to leave St. Lucia but have to go back to muddy, hot/humid, to where we don't want to be Rodney Bay for a bimini we ordered. Hope soooo much it is done and o.k. so we only need to stay a day or two. Our 'pick up' date is this Wed. So we will return Tues. and hope it goes smoothly.
Then as soon as we can we will(or I as usual) wake at 4 a.m. and sail all the way down to at least St. Vincent or Bequia as we need to be down that a way to do a pick up in Grenada on the 18th..... so we have to get moving and from what I hear I'd rather go down that way.
We've snorkeled a bit , hung on the boat a lot (Georg started and finished a book yesterday-crazy fast reader! not even in his language). I did see another octopus! I'll try to put up a few photos.
More up-date later. I find a very early bow internet session I get 1-3 bars instead of the usual 0.

Next visit is Pam& Scott +Sage & Terra.
A bimini is a covering for the 'cockpit' area of ones boat so you don't get too hot and/or sunburned. It also helps you sleep outside more comfortably so you don't wake up all wet from the very heavy/humid dew.
We were told and thought the boat had one but the folks we bought it from did not tell us it is somehow gone as many things have had issues.
thxs for your wishes! xoxo
03/05/2010
So we made it to The Pitons. I liked Petit Piton but it is on fire!! I can't believe it!
A volcano blows and now maybe this will ash us...? Maybe some climbers lit a cigarrette? we'll see how it goes and snorkel as soon as my head feels better.
Georg and I kinda had a 'fight' while trying to pick up a hard mooring here. Georg Won!! He slipped with the metal pole and hit me with all his might (very hard) in the face. I have a chipped/cracked tooth (owee). .....And we somehow picked up internet.
So more later
