12 Mile

04 July 2013 | 12 Mile bay Georgian Bay
Ian
As part of our get off the dock program, Our friends Marc and Claudia joined us for a week of sailing, highlighted by an adventure to 12 Mile bay. This is a deep cut in the rock left by the glaciers a bazillion years ago! the trip was, as always wind on the nose. And we do apparently beat to the wind!

After about 6 hours of sailing we made 12 mile bay to join the Bay Moorings Parkbridge Sailors Gathering 2013!

We set sail with about 40 boats and were the 6 th to arrive to join the raft! later that day we had about 32 boats in the raft and the party was on. The next morning we woke to breakfast being served to all participants complete with a dingy drive thru! Yes a drive thru. We loaded into our dingy and came alongside a large powerboat, Into Wishin

We were served coffee, orange juice, pancakes and syrup and back to Lost Puppy we went.

What great start to a day. The evening was followed with a Potluck dinner that left all of us resting on the rocks like a big bear that just ate too much!

This style of adventuring has left the crew of Lost Puppy wanting for more!

Stay tuned for more pictures of this adventure!

Happy sailing to everyone!
