Never too safe

Our stay at Lil Farmwrs has been uneventful,,,,to exciting...the protection offered at this mooring ball has been good....one boat lost its hold and is aground....not good....
We were enjoying cocktails in the cockpit...we heard a weird thump sound....
I went forward one of our mooring lines on the bow had wore thru in all the wind, tide, and surge! First time ever....
Luckly, when we were in Fernandina , a fellow came to us and asked why we didn't use 2 lines....after a discussion with the admiral.....we now used 2,,, great suggestion as yesterday it could have been us slipping away!!!!
So he solution last evening...add 3 more lines!!!!
The results this morning.....
One more chaffed thru , backed up by 2 extras thru the eye, and one sliding knot behind the eye, in the event of he eye chaffing thru too!!!!
Can never be too safe!!!!
We are planning to head north about 7 miles...
Yesterday we went out hunting lobster with a couple of local fishers....I got one....they helped us find plAces to hunt!!! They shot 3 ....so 3 couples enjoyed a nice meal of lobster fresh fish, ...mmmmm delicious!!!!
