We hosted friends on the boat this weekend, but they were not allowed to sit. We got the two D-rings installed and worked on the autopilot. The D-rings will allow us to quickly and strongly attach ourselves to the boat to prevent getting washed overboard: a good idea.

We're putting aboard the clothing, food, water, fuel, etc that we need for this first several months, as well as equipment that would be heavy or costly to ship to Ketchikan later. Jeez, what does one take on such a trip?

We put the vane on the Hydrovane and watched it work its rudder in the breeze. We're sure it will work!

I'll get the rest of the tiller arm fabricated and go down this week to install it. Then, I'll be done, although I can't believe it.
