Still no sun...but it is light for 4 or 5 hours a day now. It's amazing how that little bit of light can really energize you. Man, I have missed the sun! It won't be much longer, about a week and the sun will actually break the horizon. I know now why so many old cultures worshiped the sun. I'm going to have my own " sun welcoming party" on the 22 of Aug.

We are all busy here preparing the airfield and station for the onslaught of people coming in at Winfly, which starts this Friday. Time is flying by, almost to fast. It won't be long before I will be packing my bags and getting out of here. I did get my re-deployment date of 30Sept, but that is subject to mother natures will. I'm under 2 months! Wow!

I am looking forward to getting out of here and back to civilization, and I'm not. It seems the world is really messed up right now...everywhere. Maybe I've been watching to much news. It seems the the news is just bad, and intended to just keep us all scared. Fear is control. I really don't want to get caught up in all that...ever again. I'm pretty much done with all that. I just want to be left alone to live my life the way I want. I think that was the original ideal in the U.S., but that is gone and I'm afraid that we have sold ourselves cheaply and without any real hope of getting it back. MAybe I'll change my nationality, I'll become Mexican! Yeah, I'd have more rights and the U.S. government will pay for all my needs! I wonder if I will have to learn to speak Mexican to become one? ....Ok that's it for my political rant...Sorry.

Well until next time...

Peace love and first sunrise!
