Andy first sailed with his Dad on the Columbia River. His first blue water experience was in 1972 when the family cruised from Portland to Tahiti on board their 42-foot Cascade, Seabrook. He obtained his captain's license in 2005 and has taught sailing for the past 7 years. [...] Betty had a few minor sailing experiences prior to meeting Andy in 1992. Her first major sail was in 2002 when they took 2 years off from "normal life" in Seattle to deliver the Seabrook to its new owner in Maryland. Betty is an RN at the Veterans Hospital.
