flying high

Finally we have seen what Windana is capable of we put her to a test, in 25 knots of wind which I have not been in . Windana had full sails as Peter wanted to see what she could handle. Windana healed with gunnels nearly in the water, she was flying , we put a reef in just to make it easier, as we were sailing 30 degree into the wind. Lizzy nearly had a heart attack for about 5minutes and then it was fantastic I knew that she could handle it and that she was capable ,I loved it the adrenlin the trust in your boat it was the best day and many more good times to have.

Blood sweat and tears along the way we are finally enjoying sailing Westernport Bay and in Bass Strait, now I have a chance to learn how
to sail her, as Pete is a lot more experienced sailor than I as he has sailed on his old boat Reverie with his dog Lass for 6years on the Queensland Coast.
