Wyvern's Wanderings
Relaxing Day

06 February 2012 | Cambridge Cay, Bahamas
After a leisurely morning we sailed off the anchor and sailed most of the way to Cambridge Cay from Big Major. A comfortable sail with the wind just off the starboard stern. We maintained just about 5 kts. We stopped at the Rocky Dundas with the intention of snorkeling the caves, but after Charlie, Jack and Kim took a dinghy ride around the largest Dundas and picked up a fish trap that Charlie had found the last time we were here, they decided it was too choppy. What he is going to do with this fish trap, I have no idea. The thing is at least 3 feet by 3 feet and 18 inches deep. Hope he finds some poor Bahamian to give it to. We motored on over to the anchorage and dropped the anchor. Charlie, Jack and Kim went for another dinghy adventure and to the beach. They found a few shells. Didn't do much more the rest of the day. It was rainy last night and still a bit overcast this morning, but as the day progressed, the clouds cleared off some and the sun came out. Turned out to be a beautiful day. Winds about 12 to 15 kts. Temperature about 80 degrees. This evening is clear and cool.
