Steve and Deb Arrive
Phyllis Atha
27 March 2012 | Nassau, Bahamas
Nothing much day. We accomplished our daily chores, washing dishes, fixing meals, etc. But, didn't do much else. Went into the Green Parrot about 3:00 to wait for Steve and Deb's arrival. Took some books over to BASRA (Bahamian Air Sea Rescue Association) which is supported mostly by donations and volunteers. Chirs at BASRA takes the books to the Highborn Marina which sells the books for $1.00 each and then donates the proceeds to BASRA. I'm sure I donated at least $30 worth. While we were there we picked up our filled propane tank. Went back to the Green Parrot and had a drink while we waited for Deb and Steve. Charlie played on the internet while we waited, looking at boats on Ebay and playing a bit of poker. They hadn't eaten on their trip over, so we had an early dinner, splitting hamburgers and conch fritters. Came back to the boat, relaxed and visited for the rest of the evening. They hadn't had much sleep the last two days, so Deb fell asleep in the cockpit. It will be an early night. Mostly sunny today. A bit cool and the wind started to build. Tonight a bit cloudy and windy. Front is due through.
