Red Snapper

The front went through last night. No rain, but it was windy. Two small boats in the anchorage did drag, but no major problems. We stayed put! A bit of a slow morning, but by noon we were ready to dinghy into the Green Parrot and go grocery shopping. On our walk to the store, we stopped at the Red Snapper on Potter's Cay. We had learned that D'Angelo who used to manage Harbor Central Marina now owned the Red Snapper. We had cracked conch, grouper snacks and a conch salad. The conch salad was absolutely delicious. D'Angelo didn't happen to be there, but we mentioned to Marsha that we knew D'Angelo. Rio was the young man who made the conch salad. We walked on up to the grocery store and liquor store and did our shopping. Charlie and Steve rode the taxi back to the Green Parrot with the groceries. That particular taxi couldn't fit 4 people AND the groceries. Deb and I walked back. We arrived right after they did, because the Haitian taxi driver took a wrong turn and tried to take them to Paradise Island. Charlie and I took the groceries back to the boat and put them away while Deb and Steve stayed at the Parrot for a drink and to use the wifi. When we went back in, we joined them for a snack and a drink. Just happened that D'Angelo and his family were there. D'Angelo caught Charlie to say hello. We visited with them for a bit. Their two girls, Sky and Madison are precious. Sky admired my seabean necklace, so Charlie told her we would bring her one when we got back in a couple of weeks. D'Angelo told us to come by the Red Snapper because he had something for us. His wife is now pregnant and D'Angelo was happy to inform us that it was a boy! Came back to the boat and watched the sunset. Partly sunny today. Winds still up a bit, but calming gradually. Tonight is a bit cool. Forecast for the next week is suppose to be great.
