Lazy Day

We all slept in a bit this morning, then Charlie made French toast for breakfast. Just lazed around for the rest of the morning, enjoying the comfortable anchorage. I started marinara sauce for dinner and vegetable chicken soup for lunch. After an early lunch, Charlie took Greg and Lauri ashore. They took the handheld VHF radio so they could spend several hours at the beach while Charlie came back to the boat. Charlie worked on his camera snorkel mask, because the on/off switch had started sticking. I made meatballs and cleaned up my galley mess. When Greg and Lauri called, Charlie went to pick them up. After a brief rest and some snacks, Charlie took them up the creek through the island and to the windward beaches. They saw a turtle and a small shark. When they got back we had a great spaghetti dinner and we told them stories about living in Arkansas. Weather was sort of weird today. The winds stayed up all last night and today. But it was sunny this morning, then we had a wave of clouds come through from the east which is not the normal direction. Then more sunshine, then another wave of clouds. We even had a brief rain shower. This evening the wind seems to be trying to subside a little, but maybe its just wishful thinking??? Tomorrow is suppose to be a much calmer day. Let's hope!
