Today is the 9/9/9 ...
We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for another week, maybe two. We are living in a church (well it WAS) with two pit bulls & being treated royally by all of our host's friends and his dad, and going to lunch, museums, live performance, cabaret, parties - it's ridiculous! But fun!

We are SO LUCKY!! We are driving our host's old '65 Buick Riviera.(see photo) but for now just let me tell you of the thrill of driving that Yank Tank - driving on the right of course, after starting the engine by squirting pure ether down the carby ---- it's raining, the windshield wipers don't work, it's getting dark but we can't drive it at night because the lights don't all work, also the right indicator doesn't work! and the car is so wide it will hardly fit in the lane, and Adrienne's always yelling ya too far over to the right! the muffler's blown, exhaust is too loud, and every time we take it out some guy wants to buy it! We get worshipful looks from older dudes in beaters, and can't park it in Philly or it'll get towed away! We locked it one afternoon and when we came out of Wal-Mart found the ignition key wouldn't fit, so I went inside to buy some coathangers - only to find two guys working on the lock when I got back!
