Roche Jaune to Treguier
23 July 2014
We had 3 good nights at anchor in the River Treguier at Roche Jaune. This is a small village with one cafe, restaurant and a bar tabac that sells bread. During our stay there, we walked, Simon swam from the boat and we had a BBQ each night. It was sunny all three days with low winds, just what you need for anchoring.
This area is all well known for oysters. The local oyster farm sells them from a shed just around from the quay. On Tuesday we had lunch ashore, 8 oysters and a glass of wine for €9!
On Wednesday we moved up into the town of Treguier to meet up for a meal with Leading Wind, Demijohn and Shades of Blue from our local marina. A very pleasant trip of just 2nm through the winding river and into the marina at Treguier. We plan to be here for a few days before moving on again.
