Treguier to Anse de Paimpol
25 July 2014
We joined Leading Wind, Demijon II and Shades of Blue from our home port for a meal on Wednesday night and then went to the cathedral square centre in Treguier to listen to some live music.
On Thursday we restocked the boat from the not so local supermarket. We ate on board and joined Leading Wind for drinks later.
By Friday we were on the move again. After getting some bread from Treguier in the morning, we motored out and along the river. Passing Roche Jaune where we had anchored for 3 nights earlier and out to sea. Just as we were clearing the entrance to the river, we had 3 very large dolphins swim beside us for a few minutes. When Bella sees Dolphins she goes mad, barking at them. After this they swiftly moved away.
The photo above is off the River Treguier.
We passed Iles de Brehat and into the Anse de Paimpol. This is a big bay with the town of Paimpol at the head. We plan to go into Paimpol later but with a still forecast for tomorrow, we have anchored in the middle of the bay. We are literally miles away from anywhere. We took Bella in the dingy to a small island which was further away than we thought at 1km from the boat. We went for a swim on a small beach.
