Today we were also moving on again and unfortunately it was an early start to make the tide. We left at 6am.

There was a huge tide flowing through the marina which made manoeuvring very tricky. We had heard of a few yachts getting into difficulties the day before. If you get it wrong you normally end up with the yacht laid sideways across the front of other boats and held there by the fast flowing tide. This then becomes an impossible situation to get out of. However, we managed to reverse out without any problems.

We motored for the first hour and then sailed for the next 3 hours.

Perros-Guirec has a large bay, is surrounded by rocks and the marina itself is accessed through a very narrow tidal gate.

We have sailed past this port many times in the past but never entered so it will good to explore the port and surrounding area. We plan to be here for a few days to recover and also to sit out some strong wind.
