Perros-Guirec to St Quay
10 July 2015
Perros-Guirec has two areas to the town. There is an area down by the port with restaurants and some shops and another area in town which is much larger.
There was a great market in the port on Wednesday and luckily another market in town on Friday.
It was planned to meet the other yachts from the club in St Quay on Friday. We were up early and went to the market to restock the boat. We could not leave the port until the gate was open over the sill. This meant that we would get some tide with us for the first couple of hours and then it would turn hard against us around the Ile de Brehat.
During the trip we had a text from the others to say the table was booked for 8pm. With the tide against us it was looking unlikely we would we there until well after that time. Fortunately, with all the sails up and also motoring hard against the tide we just made it, with everyone waiting on the pontoon to help tie up!
