This shows the old holes as we try to sort the layout on the front panel of the chart table.
Old shelf removed to make way for new
Second shot from the mock up. Chart table in the usual mess
Mocked up to check everything fits. Note the sawdust on the chart table
Here you can see the New GPS and Furuno 10" screen radar/chart plotter with the large white cover on.
Here is the sam shot with the covers on
Here you can see my poor attempt at woodwork, thout it has worked ok it could be better. We have a dual station VHF, which can be controlled at helm, and our SSB (an Icom 710) and a pactor modem. On the left you can just see our navtex and above it is a repeater for the autopilot in the cockpit. Next to do is the Furuno chartplotter to the right of the navtex, photos to follow.
Here you can see the Icom 601 DSC VHF, the Icom 710 SSB with Pactor Modem above, the Simrad AP20 autopilot repeater, the ICS navtext, then the Furuno 1824 radar chart plotter, and furuno GP-31 GPS. We also have a couple of Garmin hand held GPS and a 1724 furuno radar / chart plotter in the cockpit.
The nerve centre. All we have to do is wire everything together now!
