The completed cupboard

skip snow, thank god for Rupert the refleks!
Well,
As promised a while back here is a shot of the completed wine cellar. We are very pleased with the outcome, even though the for'ard seat at the saloon table is now a little close for the table, but we can fix that when I remake the saloon table in the future.

I've been busy restoring Crazy Horse, our 6ft barrow boat sailing/rowing tender BarrowBoats. I'm working on it in the cockpit under the canopy filling the little pieces of rot and replacing some damaged wood with new mahogany pieces, as the secondhand dinghy had been left upside down unloved on a garage roof. Once the epoxy has gone off for several days (due to the cold weather) I'll sand and fair the repairs, ready to use our leftover epoxy gloss paint from the mast to paint the dinghy to a 'perfect' finish (ie not leaking!)

Whilst I've been busy with this Nichola aka 'the Admiral' has been researching the possible Baltic trip this season. We have Maptech electronic charts but they only go as far north as the Kiel Canal we think. Therefore Nichola is trying to find paper alternatives and looking to see if there are compatible Danish/Swedish/Norwegian charts, not an easy task!!!

Today we also had a little bit of a rest in the really cold weather, so took the opportunity to turn the heating off for the first time in two weeks to clean the heater and get it burning sweetly again. It didn't take the temperature long to drop on board! Good practice if we ever make it too Alaska! However the refleks is burning again and all is warm and dry onboard. Lots of cups of tea and hot chocolate for the crew!

PS Adrian this is the working cellar, we also have the yearly cellar, and the 'secret' cellar! Hope all is well on Tiderace
