We've left!!!!

9 years of scheming, planning and grafting, and freedom beckons.

Currently we are in Eastbourne after a bumpy motor into a F6 on the nose... which at least checked the stowage on the boat. Nichola did a great job and nothing came lose, except the flying tortoise pencil sharpener! (which was my responsibility)

Tomorrow we plan to head to Dover and either anchor in the harbour or pick up a pontoon. Friday we intend to run around North Foreland to drop the hook in the Swale and relax for a few days.

Still seems a little surreal that it is finally upon us. We most probably won't be back in Brighton, at least not with Emerald.
