Well this brings us up to date with our position as we wind our way northwards.

If you look on Google you will see an island just to the east of us called Orust, which is the home of Swedish boat building, with the Halberg Rassy, Najad, Malo and Vindo yards all within a few miles of each other.

We thought of a midnight visit to pinch (or should I say liberate?) a Halberg Rassy Hard top (hard dodger) from a 46 footer, which we think would suit Emerald well!

The hard tops on Halbergs look good, compared to most we've seen, so even if we could get one of the draughtsmen to draw us something, that would help.

Mind you if anyone reading this wants to give a design of a hard dodger a go, feel free and email us the results. There is a line drawing of a peterson on the website kp44.org, (there is a link on the right hand of this page) and google to find a picture of a halberg rassy 46 with a hard top, and put the two together! Good luck!

We are currently anchored off a lovely looking island called Harmano, which has the oldest fishing village on the West coast of Sweden on it. However due to the current 25 knots of wind blowing offshore, we've not been able to visit it yet! However we are recovering well on our green energy front with the batteries almost topped up and all systems working. I've just got to post this, download the weather grib files and then turn on the fridge as we are making excess energy at present, about 25amps with solar and wind. All is well on board.

The big decision for the day is which board game to play this afternoon, and what flavour of biscuits to make! Sometimes life can be tricky!

I hope everybody back home is well and in good spirits, the Emerald crew are. We think we have maybe three or four stops to make in Sweden so about another week perhaps before we head across the Skaggerak to Norway. We've also just crossed another line of lattitude north, so a good excuse for a sundowner this evening
