Dinghy Wheels and Freezer Deals

Hey all, gosh blogging on a Saturday, whatever next! I'm covering some work at the minute so thought I'd take the opportunity whilst my laptop is connected to the net.

Well the morning started with my next door (berth) neighbour having a fridge engineer down to work on his system. I popped my head out of the hatch and asked if he'd recharge our freezer whilst he was at it, so for a few cash in hand boat tokens, he did just that. This now means our freezer has a full charge of gas for the first time since we re-installed it about 3 months ago. The even better news is that it has dropped 4 degrees in the last 4 hours, when it had previously been struggling. Great news! Hopefully we'll get it back down to 14F at the top of the box again soon. I'll let you know.

Onto then the dinghy wheels. Nichola (aka Admiral) and I had a trip out in the dinght to give the outboard a run up and have a barbie on the beach. With the fuel tanks and the engine on we found it hard going to drag the inflatable between us up the beach. Therefore we've invested in a set of hard wheels you see installed in the photo. This should help us get the dinghy above the surf line. Now we need to test them with another barbie trip. That was the plan for this evening but it is now gusting up to a force 7 so we'll have to reschedule......

well that's all for now off to watch the digital freezer temp!
