Skip dry but cold
Hi all, back into the swing of the blog again. I've updated the photo galleries, the aft cabin and chart table galleries. As you can see i've been in instrument heaven. At last getting all the pieces in place the way I'd wanted.

We haven't started connecting things up yet but at least everything is mounted now rather than being crammed in the aft head risking damage.

All pretty complex on one level but with the admiral having a master's degree in electronics and me a lowly bachelorhood in the same hopefully we'll make it all work.

I'm really pleased with how the chart table has turned out. It will be the head of the boat if the refleks stove is the heart.

We have a few little mods still to be done to help with the comms interfacing to the ssb and waypoint management, with programming the gps etc. as we have both Furuno and Garmin, we'll use a program called Easy GPS to manage our waypoints and routes. We'll also use our ssb and pactor to both update position on the web and remotely post text blog entries.

Well let me know what you think of the insrument pack and layout on the chart table. Have to dash as i'm galley slave tonight, with roast lamb (reared by my best man on his small holding, thanks Stu) roast potatoes and french beans and carrots. Perfect for a cold winters evening. We might have to have a glass of red as well.

On other Emerald news, Nichola aka Admiral Wright has only two days left at work before we both become offically retired, cruisers, boat bums, water gypsies or whatever the correct moniker is!

until later
