Chugging our way to Cawsand 39 Nm travelled

12 August 2009 | Anchored off Plymouth in Cawsand Bay
skip cloudy and windy
Well, we were hoping to round start point and Bolt tail and then bear away on a beam reach to Cawsand, however the wind stayed stubbornly in the west, rather than south west and we decided to just motor here, get the batteries a good charge and have plenty of hot water when we arrived.

Mission accomplished and there were some impressive boats around as well as the fasnet race is finishing for the big boats, such as Hugo Boss

We've decided to stay tomorrow as we are both pretty tired, then head from Cawsand straight to the Helford River, where hopefully we'll have a Wright family regatta! As my cousin Fil is just launching his boat today all being well in Falmouth.

Tonight we are hoping to see the British firework championships finals held in Plymouth. Fingers crossed the cloud lifts a bit.
