The old and the new

21 August 2009 | Falmouth Yacht Haven
Skip sun and rain
I like this photo, the stone i'm pushing up is a Bronze Age (4000 years old!), with a huge satellite dish of Goonhilly in the background, one the old method of communication 'perhaps?' and the other the satellite age of communication. I wonder will someone lean on an old mounting foundation of the satellite dish in 4000 years time?!

Well, we are still alongside at Falmouth until Tuesday, when we might head up river towards Truro for a few nights before perhaps heading eastwards again.

We managed to get rid of our old flares as well today, which is good news. I'm not sure if we will get a new batch, as they are very expensive. We may go for these new Laser flares.

We'll use the next couple of days to sort and clean the boat, do laundry and perhaps knock out a few of the jobs on the winter list.
