Day 3 and already 329 nm away from Hawaii!

Day 1 and probably most of day 2 were def. NOT good first days for me on Zephyr. Like last time it seems to be a recurring pattern where everything suffered; my stomach, my watch hours, the logbook, the cooking and the over and over again of rewriting the name Zephyr on the stern... pretty good at it by now and can probably do it with my eyes closed! But once past that 'cape' we do feel we are on the mending side and we slowly build up with a coke, a banana and some dry biscuits. We def don't want to smell food at this stage and the galley is avoided by any possible means.

Superb sunsets and moon risings. We don't need to read by the stars as the moon is right above us and all is very clear on the water. Nothing and no one to be seen around us, an extreme clear, no eye polluting 360 view. The amazing thing now being that in a couple of days we will only see the moon behind us as the equator is approaching with 3 degrees per day! And yes, a first timer for us all! All I can remember is to drink to Neptune and to us... but what else??

We have been running a steady 8 knots of speed, wind mostly from the east and doing 17-20 nm per shift which is great.

Now into my day shift, the 2 1/2 on and 5 off, works fantastically, ? and the routine is nicely settling in on the boat. With good books and good music, the days fly past and we are at peace, hopefully... Trump will keep GPS on, so we don't have to take the sextant out of the box and charts on the table!

Today no clouds, all hatches are open and it's still hot. We enjoy the sporadic bird, and we can follow its flying pattern for many moments while it looks at us from above and then goes off fishing.

Big fish, small fish, as the photo shows, big waves and not sooooo many small waves...

Aloha !
