We are in Nassau now.
> From Bullocks/Great Harbour Cay we sailed north around the tip of the Berry chain and then south to anchor at Cabbage Cay. We spent an uneventful night at anchor and then left with the tide to get to Nassau. It was a 40 mile trip in 5 to 6 foot following seas with rain and about 20 knots of wind...tough ride!! We ended up racing ahead of a giant cruise ship into Nassau harbor. The reason we came down is that there is a big storm brewing and we wanted to be at a dock until it passes, which should be Tuesday. Then we go to the Exuma chain.
Meanwhile, at Atlantis we are living a Las Vegas sort of lifestyle. Atlantis is basically a Vegas-does-aquariums sort of scene. We are enjoying the restaurants and activities & celebrated Cat's 6th birthday. Despite the 55 degree temperature, the kids went on every ride at the massive Atlantis water park (names like Leap of Faith, Tower of Power, The Fall, The Abyss). Needless to say, I didn't manage to go on any of them.
Parker is still unable to be left alone on the boat. He freaks out so much that one of us needs to stay with him at all times - this cannot continue.
Nassau is usually touted as being a very dangerous, filthy place, but I've found it to be quite nice actually. People are very friendly and polite here - it's the British influence.
