Theme Settings

The Theme Settings page is linked from the main Theme & Colors page and has most options for the way a blog page looks.

NOTE: Not all options are available for each template. After selecting a template, the options available for that particular template will show on the Theme Settings page.

General Blog Settings

Num. Posts Per Page

The number of blog posts that will appear on each web page. Maximum is 10.

Font Name

Name of the main body font. Should be a standard.

Font Size

Small / Medium / Large

Date Format

The style for the blog post dates.

Main Article: Date Formatting

Popup Comments

If checked, comments will display in popup window. If unchecked, comments will display on the blog page.

Older Link Label

At the bottom of the page there is a link to go to older posts, this is the label for older posts.

Newer Link Label

At the bottom of the page there is a link to go to older posts, this is the label for newer posts.

Max Image Width

Maximum width of an image to display in the blog. 700 is highest.

Main Table Width

Width of the main blog area of the web page. Maximum is 800.


Page Colors

Background Color

Hex value. Background color of the whole page.

Post Background Color

Hex value. Background color of the area behind the blog posts.

Text Color, Link Color, Alternate Color 1, Alternate Color 2

Hex values. Various colors used for text, links, lines, etc.

Header Options

Header Image

The image that will be used at the top of the page. Maximum header size is 750x175 and the image must be scaled properly before uploading. Not all templates allow for a custom header, and this option will not be available when a template is selected that won't allow for a user-uploaded header. Those templates that do allow for user added header image are (currently):

  • Blue 60s Flavor
  • LBD
  • Sea & Sand
  • 3 Panel
  • 4 Square
  • Linear
  • Linear 2
  • Rectangle 2

Show Title In Header

If checked, displays the title and description of blog over the header image.

Gallery Link

Show Gallery Link

Can be set to None, My SailBlogs Gallery, or URL. If set to My SailBlogs Gallery or URL, a link to the Gallery will appear on the blog page. Fill in the full URL for the gallery if not using the SailBlogs Gallery.

Show Random Gallery Album Block

If checked, the album block will appear on the blog page with 2 random albums from the gallery. This is only true when using the standard SailBlogs Gallery.

Random Album Block Title

Title above the Album Block on the blog page..

TOC Options

Show Table of Contents (TOC) Block

If checked, the TOC block will appear on the blog page.

TOC Block Title

Title above the TOC Block on the blog page. Defaults to "Contents".

Show Full TOC Link

If checked, a link will appear at the bottom of the TOC block to view a list of all the blog posts loaded.

Number of TOC Items

The number of recent blog entries to be listed in the TOC Block.

Other Side Column Blocks

Show Profile

If checked, the Profile Block will appear on the blog page.

Show Favorites

If checked, the Favorites (side links) Block will appear on the blog page.

Show Groups

If checked, the Groups Block will appear on the blog page.

Show Map Icon

If checked, the Map Icon Block will appear on the blog page. Available only to XPlot users.

Show Link To Member Map

For non-XPlot users (those who do not have an XJSail-level or Pro account) this will automatically display a link to the member map so that the member map will center on the position loaded in the Public Profile.

Show Google Ads

If checked, the Google Adsense Ads will appear on the blog page.

Other Block Titles

Profile Title

Title above the Profile Block on the blog page. Defaults to "Profile".

Favorites Title

Title above the Favorites Block on the blog page. Defaults to "Favorites".

Custom

Custom Side Block

This is a open text field for adding Text, HTML, javascript or other code that will appear on the side column of a blog page. (Premium Members Only)
