Halloween weekend in Grand Bahamas
29 October 2010 | Port Lucaya, Grand Bahamas
first Mate Christina...aka Mom, wife, teacher, head chef, I am sure I am missing several others...!?
We have been here now at least 10 days. Our gear shift has been repaired, flown back from Florida, and installed and tested by Captain Michael and Crew Steve!! YEA!!
Now waiting for a window of calm weather.....meaning low winds, and coming from the North to make a smooth sailing over to the Berry Islands, and then on to Nassau!
So it seems we are to celebrate Halloween here, we missed the boat on buying tickets for a trick or treat boat cruis through the canals, trick or treating at houses/docks along the way.
So it looks like we will need to ba a little more creative and set have our own Halloween party. We will do a sort of scavenger trick or treat hunt here in the marina.
We have met a family of fellow Canadian boaters! They arrived here yesterday, with 2 daughters, whom Emerson calls his girlfriends...hmm, they are 13 and 15......
We have been having a great time with them, and plan to have some Halloween fun together.
We will all head over to town tomorrow evening to have an evening in the square where they is always Caribbean music, dancing for all.
Wishing you all a Happy Halloween!
