Everything is Fine

You may have seen news of an earthquake and tsunami in our area of the S. Pacific, and while we did have a bit of a fright this morning, everything is fine so far. There are large tidal changes and surges in the harbor and we are watching the situation and the boat.
We are hearing preliminary reports from other cruisers and appear to be lucky here in our location. Boats in some of the more outlying islands here in Vava'u were forced to evacuate their anchorages due to 2-3 meter water surges , in some cases leaving people ashore. American Samoa reported a large surge/wave (15 foot) that rolled through the anchorage with boats damaged, cars washed off roads and an entire village washed away. There have been unconfirmed reports/rumors of a large wave in Suwarrow, and entire villages lost in Savaii.
Everyone here is safe and sound on Whisper.
