This morning I sighted land for the first time in 27 days, the island of Maupiti in the Society Islands with Bora Bora rising in the background.

The excitement was pretty high for the first, oh about 8 hours, as the island inched by me finally taking over 36 hours to drop out of sight.

It brings back wonderful memories as Mary and I and the boys spent our last months in French Polynesia at these islands almost one year ago. It feels nice to be back on familiar water and oh so tempting to stop.
